Gallery | North America | USA | Pacific Northwest | John Day Fossil Beds N.M.

The small Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument displays one of the most intriguing colorful badlands in the Western US. The colors are even more pronounced when sunlight hits the slopes after a heavy rain. Sometimes bad weather is not so bad after all!
